So does the fact that just 2 weeks ago, you yourself were contemplating 8" lids, mean that you're over compensating shortfalls as well? So without actually saying if, you've basically categorized those of us with 8" lids as attention ****** with a little man complex. Hell, I believe you'd fit right in.

I think 8 inch lids flow with the right bike. My last bike had a 26 and stretched bags and it looked the part with the Speed by Design lids. My current bike has a 21 and Top Shop 4.5 bags so I'm running CVO lids.
My only advice is if you are putting speakers INSIDE the bags I wouldn't over think what lids to go with or think that bigger (8's) is better.
