So does the fact that just 2 weeks ago, you yourself were contemplating 8" lids, mean that you're over compensating shortfalls as well? So without actually saying if, you've basically categorized those of us with 8" lids as attention ****** with a little man complex. Hell, I believe you'd fit right in.

Hey man its not personal and I didnt say everyone so my apologies. Yeah I was thinking about it and still am. We all have our own thoughts on what looks good and thats everyones choice. No reason for anyone to start slinging insults on what our bikes look like or refer to them as grandpa bikes. Thats another battle in itself.

Then I suggest whatever beef you have, you take it up with that individual instead of categorizing the entire lot of us.
I don't mean to hurt anybody's feelings but the 8 lids are butt ugly. JMO put speakers and horns in the bag, get your front speakers on point, you have the best of both worlds plenty of sound at speed, low rear response when cruising or parked and a clean stock look.
Be careful Arlington!!! Ole Francis gets all butt hurt if we joke around and "sling insults" on his forum.
I think 8 inch lids flow with the right bike. My last bike had a 26 and stretched bags and it looked the part with the Speed by Design lids. My current bike has a 21 and Top Shop 4.5 bags so I'm running CVO lids.
My only advice is if you are putting speakers INSIDE the bags I wouldn't over think what lids to go with or think that bigger (8's) is better.
