A friend of mine is looking for some new speakers on his 2015 Road Glide. He currently has the Sony 5000, arc moto 600.4 amp, and sinister 6.5s. Hes only using the front channel of the amp on the sinisters. One of Sinisters is going bad.
Hed like to replace them with something loud and clear...with a little punch too. He has no plans on adding lowers or lids so all 4 channels of the arc are available for the fairing. Hes not adverse to dropping some cash.
I would first contact sinister as those speakers were not cheap. They may offer a replacement for free or a discounted price and that just may be your best bet. Those speakers don't sound bad either.
The speakers are a couple of years old and he was already complaining that he couldn’t hear them real well. His bike has been modded to make a lot of power, is stupid loud, and he rides pretty aggressive. That’s why he’s looking for loud and clear.
Stupid loud pipes and aggressive riding only means that he need some type of pa speakers. The new mmats coax have been getting good reviews along with the new wdx motos. I do know the old wdx motos get real loud but can be hard to tame the highs as I have not heard the mmats nor the new motos. A set of hertz sv's get real loud but will need a set of tweeters/horns for the real highs.
