I have a 2017 SGS & have a J&L 400/4 AMP with DD AW6 & AT28 speakers in the fairing. Was going to use ROCKFORD FOSGATE PPS4-6 speakers in the lowers.I have been messaging Tailwind all of my questions & i can tell you he knows his stuff. Thanks again Tailwind! I As i have been looking now i was wondering if the DD VO-6.5 PA speakers would be a better way? Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes the VO6.5 would be much better than the RF in lowers. How are you planning on powering the lowers?

I run the newer neo version of the DD VO-M 6.5 in my lowers and I like them there. They are a very loud speaker that are rated at 95.5 db's and the spec'd at 100-8khz. I bandpass mine at 100-6500 but I have played them as low as 80hz without distortion with well over 100 watts going to them. I cut mine off on the hi end because with a lot of juice the highs start to break up around 7khz range at least to my ears. To me they are very similar to the MMATS 601.4 but they are a little louder and play about 1-2Khz higher. Like the other VO(voice optimized) speakers the vocals really do stand out.
Dabears I am running the Mmats 601.4s now and for the most part am happy with them. I don't like a lot of highs so I can't complain about the sound from that aspect. Do you think the VOs are warmer sounding than the Mmats or are they about even?
Warmth they are about the same but I do think the VO's have a little more thump than the MMATS. If you have ever heard the PRV 6MR500 I think the NDY version of the VO 6.5 falls right in between the PRV and the MMATS.
I ended up going to get a pair of the DD VO-M6.6 SPEAKERS. They didn't have them in our town so i drove 40 miles & picked a pair up. They sound good with my set up, so these are the ones i am keeping.I will admit that different amps to make a difference. My other DD AW6.5 WITH J&L AMP compared to this GROUND ZERO 4 MICRO AMP.
