Default Watch your voltage

With the increase of those whom are going mids/subs in bags pay close attention to your voltage and charging system.
Two solutions right now. Parallel a second/third battery and use a isolator or breaker to keep starting battery optimal over the secondary, or try the new Lithium high capacity battery by Braille for example.

Now that I am going into low 50's high 40's in the frequency range in my bags, my voltage has began to suffer on big notes significantly. From 13.9-14.1 before to 13.1 and even 12.9. Huge strain on stator. Turn down few clicks back to 13.9-14.1

The Braille lithium , or any really in this capacity are not cheap. $650 range. Supposedly this will make up for the rapid discharge the AGM battery has compared to the lithium and last quite a bit longer.

I find trying the solo battery that will stay under seat without making a bunch of mods to build a rack, tray, wiring, breaker etc worth the extra cash. Will have one on order by weekend and depending on lead times hopefully have by end of month.

Just out of curiosity why not throw a capacitor in before the amp to help with pull on voltage on those low hard hitting notes?

Caps are bad juju. A current succubus that you can't feed when you lack current to supply the amps to begin with.

just to second Slye's info, i have experienced the same thing. had to add 1 small battery in each bag and isolator to the system do to the large draw increases when i set up the 10's in my bags. guys with older bikes like me are going to be more concerned with this as our charging systems are not as powerful as the later model bikes. a volt meter and amp clamp are your friends to test for this situation.

Guys are throwing dual limitless 7.5's under the seat. Then a seperate 25 or 45 under the rear fender. Hell, if u dont have abs, u can do a lil cutting and stuff a 25 under the seat.
