Just to give you an Idea, I will list what I have which is not so different than what you are looking at, both in cost and bulid.
2018 Road Glide Ultra
Sony 5000 Head Unit
MMats 4110 amp (Stinger would work great too)
MMats PA601.4CX speakers x4 in fairing and tour pack. I chose to use the VTwin Audio tour pack adaptors vs a big ugly (to me) spacer.
SCOSCHE EFXAKCM8B 8Awg Ofc Moto Amp Power Kit (Amazon)
2 sets of RCAs
I was around $1300 all in but then sold my stock radio for $500 so my grand total is in the neighborhood of $800.
I am not saying this is exactly what you should buy, just laying out what I bought after extensive research here and through other sources. I am very happy with my choices though.
Thanks , I appreciate the info. Especially the part about selling the OE equipment. I never really thought about that.
Not sure if the WDX6 G2s will fit in the tour pack, even with the VTwin adapters. Hopefully someone else that has tried them in the tour pack will speak up.
I have an 05 Ultra and currently have the G2'S in my fairing, and Mmats in my lowers and tour pack. I think the Mmats compliment the G2'S quite well. I think I actually like my Mmats a little better at the moment, but my opinion might change once I open the fairing and try adjusting the x-over a little more. I might have the frequency set a little higher than it needs to be. Hoping to get a little more thump out of them.
Ive seriously considered the Mmats as well. I hear the G2s , while warmer than the first gen offering, are still a bit bright sounding. Seems that folks who have the time and knowledge to really tune their gear get good results but those results vary.
