Default ready for some new 6x9's

I have the Aquatics hu . Hertz HCX 165 in front fairing and RF TMS69BL9813 kit 6x9's. Mmatts 4110 powering the speakers. I want to change out the 6x9s to either Hertz mpx690.3 or the mmatts pa690.4cx. What do you recommend? Any other 6x9's I should consider? Looking for minimal speaker mod to fit lids. Also, is that amp strong enough to power the fronts and new rears? Something I can still hear clear at 80-90 mph. 09 SG, mostly listen to classic/modern rock, old rap, little country

What kind of power do they like and how are you crossing them?

I have run all the speakers you mentioned I currently running the Mmats pa690’s. I personally have not heard the gz7x10’s nor know what power they require but I do know the Mmats get loud are clean and have the lows needed from the .4110 amp off 2 channels.

The MMats have gotten many positive comments and are a current top choice this week, dethroning the prior DD VO ffavorite of many... A member recently tried the Diamond Audio 6 x9 and another has a similar / same Cerwin Vega set on order. I’m gonna try the GZ 7x10’s Lucky 7 references...hope I don’t run into clearance issues with the included adapters.... Deliver is scheduled for 8/15. I’ll post up after I get them... I’m currently running a BT 4250, DSR1, MMats 601.cx ‘s up front and Arc Moto 692s...

Have you tried the diamonds yet? I know the GZs are a bigger speaker, I would say they might be louder but blow them away. tried to make it to Beaver Bar, but didn't get past the Iron Horse, they said you guys were farther out, past the strip. I stayed in the same hotel as Jason we talked in front of the hotel Saturday night pretty late. That green machine is very nice.

Im looking for something that pretty much drops in existing location. Is there an adaptor to make those work in 6x9 location? What kind of power is needed to make them come alive? Id rather not change amp, atleast not this year LOL

Do you know if those mmatts just drop into place of the Rockford kit or is there a little modification. I been leaning more toward those than the Hertz.

That's what I was getting at also, I already had 6x9 setup, didn't have to do much to upgrade to diamond 6x9s. If it's a simple change to go 7x10s and they blow the diamonds away, I'll switch. lol

Good to hear about the mmatts... Somebody did mention the Diamonds but haven't heard in person. That would be my concern on the GZ 7x10s also and not sure if the amp I have is powerful enough
