Dude! Theres no comparison to the JL 8.8. Save your money.
Cory how do you know? Have you heard the Rville clones on your sled or anyone's, Take the blinders off man, there's other things out there besides the JL kool-aid that you drink.
$629 for JLs
$70 for Rville clone
Do you really think JLs sound $530 better? Having heard both I can tell you they do not.
Can you post a video of the Rockville Marine speakers? I'd like to hear them. For $70 I'd take a gamble and order them, but the wattage requirements are so different from what I have, it would require more reworking that I want to do at the moment.
As i said in the original post, I butchered one trying to get it in and it wasn't worth the hassle to try to grind the other one up and force it in so there is no video. If it's more tinkering than you want right now, skip it. If it's a gamble you want to take, take it.

Already have a set of the JL 880's. So good to know they are the better choice.
I have a set of painted and hydro dipped aftermarket lids, but the aftermarket lids don't seal very good the way they were designed. Plus the color the hydro dipper used didn't work out that good with my black cherry paint. Rather than re-paint and redip.
Planning on tossing in the Rockvilles and selling this set off locally. Then I can pick up a set of 8.8" Voodoo lids over the winter and get them ready for spring.

These were a fiberglass knockoff, I bought off eBay from a company out of Florida. They were designed for my 2005, but probably cover from 1999 to 2013 I think.
