Default Amp, speaker question

Excuse my audio-challenged stupidity. Just installed Infinity Kappas in the fairing. Going to get a CV B54 amp and Biketronics BTBOC plug and play harness. Don’t want to upgrade speakers in the rear at this time. Will turning the fade down to the rears prevent the amp from blowing them or is there something else I have to do? With the BTBOC I believe I cannot just leave the rears hooked up solely to the head unit but not sure.

I'll take a crack at this. I installed the same setup in my 14 limited (CV B54 / Kappa's in front / Polk MM652's in the TP). I'm pretty sure everyone will say the same thing " do the TP speakers now too". If you must use the stock speakers in the TP use the amps rear gains to set the voltage not the fade. Problem is the amps gain control may not get the voltage low enough to not damage the stock speakers. My 2cents the Kappa's are going to blow the rears away if left stock. They will be loud and crystal clear compared to stock. You could throw another set of Kappa's in the TP or some Polk MM652s. The Polk's are a warmer speaker and provide a good overall sound quality balance.
