After having the PRV 6.5/ DDB3 horns fairing setup for a couple years, I decided to change things up a little. I have a Stinger 700/4 amp, and wanted a little warmer setup, while keeping the 80 mph volume (unicorn stuff). Seemed like the mmats are the speaker of choice for lately, and decided to go with these. Got em tuned a little last night.. They are WAY less tinny that the previous setup, and the sound is much more full. These definitely have coax speaker sound, with crystal clear volume to go with it.. I havent ridden with it installed yet, but will asap. Prob tune a little more tonight. I am very pleased with the sound and volume.
Crossed at 120 on the Sony, and the gain on the amp ended up in the 10:30-11:00 range on the dial. I battle the volume difference between my usb stick and my bluetooth on my phone (which isnt bad, just different). I set it up more for the usb stick to be on the safe side.
Another plus is I have stock looking fairing again with all the guages.
10/4. I set up at 120 knowing i was on the high side. I will play around a little with them. Even at 120, they are better SQ than the previous setup. Thats saying something.

So your running just 2 channels to Mmats ?
Were you running the Stinger with your PRV's? 2 channels or bridged?
I have lower fairings on the bike, so yeah thats a possibility for sure!
Yep, sounds like you have 2 channels left on that stinger that work perfect for powering some lowers.
Great review. Glad to hear you are liking the Mmats in the fairing. I have a set in the lowers, but ngi am still considering on moving them up to the fairing over the winter, and swapping my WDX Moto WDX6 G2's down to the lowers.
Just ordered some Advanblack pods, and CVO grills for the lower fairings.. Now just need to figure out a speaker to throw in there. I have PRV's for sale so thats an option.
I cant just let that Stinger sit there with two channels empty right??
