didn't realize you're likely local to me (da region) if so go see curly at curly's custom cycles, he knows his stuff there.
Darkkevin are you another one from da region?? I was raised in the da region and live about 30 miles west now.
Curly's does some nice work but is a little behind the times on the audio with the last audio I heard come out of his shop.

yep, crown point here, work in chesterton so I go by curly's a lot, he's done some paint work for me and such. he's seemed to have gotten better about audio, really pushes beyma, last time i was there they were tuning a 20 ultra that was unreal, guy put huge $$$ in it, fairing, lowers, custom lids, tourpack speakers and 2 10" subs.

Nice
I frequent DA REGION on a weekly basis and get close to it daily for work. I spent my first 35 years or so in Hessville then went across the boarder and now I am in Lockport.
**** idk why the audio guy I bought the speakers from then wouldn't suggest a bigger amp and not the one I bought and he suggested? Makes kinda wonder now if it was more about making a sale then instead of product awareness. Well either way I can't see how upgrading the radio and adding a amp won't be better then stock running right now?
Hey, did you get your amp sorted out? If you have the Neo 2 you should be good. Is that the one you have? When I looked it up on line, i must have looked at the Neo mini by mistake. Just want to make sure you got it all sorted out. Sorry if we caused you any grief. Have never used the Neo 2 but the specs look like it should run those DB Moto speakers just fine.

All good no grief just mass confusion on my end lol!! My audio is on its way and in the mean time I added more work by purchasing a sony mex 72 radio the other day from far heads cycles.. Kinda wishing I just would of purchased the new radio first and see where I stand sound wise? worst comes to worst ill put the radio in cuz it is plug n play and do the speakers and leave out the amp and line leveler, the guy I bought the equipment from said he was gonna walk me through when I tackle it. Feeling like I can tackle this???

lo
Crown Point in the house! Schererville here. Ya im friends with Curly been to shop a few times, idk ive heard some of his bikes and seems to be at the top of his game to me audio wise.. Sticking to a budget and gonna do this myself and hope for the best lol.. Barnyard baggers is also close to us in the Region. Any shop is gonna be expensive using their audio and install.. Feel like with the help of forums like this and the endless vendors out there to chose from anyone can accomplish a decent audio upgrade keeping it around 500
I would say stay away from the GUY you got the speakers from. It sounds like he dont have to much of a clue about bike audio.
If it was a shop in DA REGION there isnt to many that specializes in bike audio and stay away from the CAR AUDIO SHOPS.
The crew here can help you out and there maybe some close to you that can give you some local advice.
Na I think the guy will be a stand up dude, he didn't sale me wrong amp I just didn't no what I was talking about lol and Bluesman enlightened me. HIs shop is up in Rockford.. We have 2 pretty good shops actually here in the region, Curlys as you mentioned and also Barnyard baggers

Both the shops mentioned are stand up guys. There is also Scooters Shooters with Chaing doing some dam nice work on audio, then there is Schubert's in Park Forrest that does some outstanding work also.
If any of you REGION RATS need a hand on anything give me a shout. I have the equipment for setting up and tuning these audio systems.

If you are installing the Sony, you shouldn't need the line levelers, but I would definitely install that amp. The head unit does have built in power, but that amp will give you way more power than your HU will. You will be glad you installed the amp.
