If you are installing the Sony, you shouldn't need the line levelers, but I would definitely install that amp. The head unit does have built in power, but that amp will give you way more power than your HU will. You will be glad you installed the amp.
Ya that's what I've been reading and told now is with the sony I will not need the line leveler, so that's good and one less thing to hook up, run rca cables from hu to amp, got it... next up is where I'm still not clear on what to do with the other end of amp? I have 2 connections on the amp one for power out and other speakers out. I no I run the speakers now from the amp and not the hu but is the stock speakers wires into the main harness or is it a separate connection that hopefully I plug n play into connector on amp??

the RCA's to the AMP supply everything sound wise, then you hook up the speakers directly from the AMP to the speakers, nothing to do with the harness, the amp will also need power and ground, usually get these directly from the battery, and a remote turn on wire, some get this from the cig lighter as it will become powered up when you turn the key on.

Yes I see that there is a remote blue wire coming from the Sony Hu what do I plug into this? thanks looks like I found my answer, there is a blue wire on the harness for the amp that must go into the blue remote source from the sony hu

I have the stinger amp kit with the inline fuse, red to the positive on battery, is the black ground or goes to negative? on the other end of this I have to wires with nothing on them im guessing the go to the amp but not sure how? will I need to put connections on there or cut the plug off on the amp that says power out and splice the black and red wire into this? thanks all
I'm like you still use those damn cds we all have hundreds of.

CD's are over...vinyl records sell more than CD's now...spend a couple of days..."Rip" them to your computer... and download them on your phone ...and once setup your phone will auto connect..
A little more setup pain but once done, it is a hundred times easier...and gives you a lot more head units to chose from...
Ok heres exactly what im looking at, so it looks like the 2 harnesses one is for the speakers and the other has the black, red and blue cable both plug into the plugs on the amp power supply and speakers out. I will need to splice the stinger kit with the red and black cable with the power out harness that plug into the amp and the other speaker out with white n grey wire directly to the speakers

yes, red to positive and black to the negative terminal, then yes splice right into the amp pigtail, and blue from your HU to the blue out of the amp, it wont turn on without the blue connected,

Awesome, I'm getting there slowly. Asking alot of newbie questions and appreciating all the answers and help. The pig tail with the 2 white wires one white n grey and the other 2 grey are for left and right speakers positive and negative, do I splice into the existing speaker wires or take the old ones out completely and put clips on these and attach to new speakers
