Looking at audio options for my Electra Glide. Boom Audio GTS Stage II looks great and another thread talks about its install. It looks tempting, but when I really think about what is important to me it's really Pandora coupled with awsome volume and sound quality. I don't really need the navigation or any of the other features that GTS would provide. So... what are the best audio (amplifier/speaker), and sources, recommendations for maximum volume and sound quality while connecting to my Android phone by direct 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm stereo audio cable connect (or Bluetooth)?
Why not look at a cheaper alternative like the Sony xav 5000 or even the 7000. Both at a third of the price of the buggy boom head unit and you'd have android auto and apple car play as well as other native apps built in.
You could even score a used 5000 at a great price I would think here in the audio for sale section from ppl are upgrading to the 7000
So basically for the price of JUST a new boom GTS hu, you could get a sony hu with amp and front and rear speakers.
