Default Stock Extended bags and porting

I have a 2018 RKS and running 10" PRV Alto 650s in each bag. Right now, the bags are not sealed, but I was considering porting them. Would I hear a significant difference to warrant porting the bags? If so, what size and length port should I use for stock, unsealed bags. Or if there is a way to calculate air space so I can figure out the port, that would help as well.

I'm not looking to seal these bags because I still use what space is left to carry some stuff in on longer rides, Also, I'm looking to purchase some glass bags early next year and will go all out on those.

If an enclosure is not sealed ports will not help the situation.

So why do you think that? A ported box is by no means air tight. The lid in this case would "seal" the bags.

A port is a controlled leak. If it leaks everywhere you can't calculate the port tuning if there is no math involved it's a guessing game. Akin to turn the gain up for more watts.

You're unsealed stock bag is essentially a poorly designed port (at best). Ports only benefit from a sealed compartment.

You boys got some learning to do. A leaky bag seal will never compare to the correct sized port and will not hinder it as much as you may think.

Lots of research and reading needs to be done before jumping down the rabbit hole of porting or should I say a regulated controlled vent

Agreed but bags don't need to be "sealed" to be ported.

Also agree about the the bags not having to be "SEALED" to be ported.

Something else I forgot to mention was the speaker that is going to be used in this ported/sealed bag. Is the speaker designed for a sealed enclosure, ported enclosure or is it a free air/infinite baffle speaker??

That was my original question. If the lid is the "seal" and I stated what speaker I was using in my original post, how can I determine what size/length port I should try. I've seen many people at shows using the PRV alto 650 in ported bags. But no one has been approachable to pick their brain. So I was hoping to get more information here.
