we have installed quite a few of the new Fosgate radios so far and have NOT found any issues with using the stock handlebar controls
Hey John, maybe some of you larger dealers could pester RF to add AVC to those head units. I was mildly interested in one until I found out they left off AVC. My stock HK with preamps added by Iron Cross is still doing well but if it dies someday it would be nice to have a modern alternative.
With aftermarket exhaust the AVC function is really nice. I'd hate to do without it.

If you are running an amp and I know you are you should not be using the AVC function.
...been running an amp with AVC enabled (at highest setting) for a couple of years with zero issues.
Roger that. Good to see you John, hope all is well.
You know just the other day I got a cheap set of helmet speakers for my Bell full face. I usually only wear it in Jan and Feb but I really like the ability to plug the helmet speakers into the center console and use them for mild tunes and audio cues from Google Maps. I just got a 7 pin to 3.5mm adapter from Aerostich and can use any standard speakers or earbuds. Since I added the Metra Bluetooth module to my HK head unit I am really pleased with the functionality I have.
It's one of those things that I don't use often but like the CB and intercom it's very nice to have. Just flip the switch on the dash and the amps cut off and the audio comes out of the 7 pin sockets, each with its own volume control.

Oh hey Bryan...all good here...other than I've already had enough of winter only a couple of weeks in and am suffering from severe PMS (parked motorcycle syndrome). I only wish a full face helmet is all that is needed to ride in Jan & Feb
