Boom Flash RTA's
I did some testing last night on different flashes for the Boom Head Units. Here are some details and a link to the results.
Bike: 2018 Road Glide Ultra
Boom HU touchscreen
Software Version 1.21.2.1
Full Range pink noise through Bluetooth on Iphone 7 with Noise Gen app
Volume 3 bars from top on all tests
Speaker level inputs into AudioControl DM-RTA from Left front speaker for all flashes except with BT355 mentioned below
RCA level input from BT355 to AudioControl DM-RTA for the BT355 with 4/0 flash
Techno Research Centurion Audio Flash tool with dealer license for multiple bikes
In retrospect, there is more testing I could have done such as voltage, and radio resets between flashes, but this time it just didn't happen. I also wasn't super familiar with the software for everything yet. Learning as I went. Some of the curves in the DM-RTA had different scaling, so look at the 60 Db or 70 Db scale above graph. That is something I will edit in the future. Let me know what you guys think and feel free to PM me with any questions.

Here are my thoughts. The HD 8/2 flash is the flattest and provides the most full range. 2/0 and 4/0 from HD just plain suck unless you put a BT LL on them. JM, RF, and Kicker all seem good as well and would probably work well with simple systems as they have a bit of boost in the lower midbass area, but not excessive like HD. IN my opinion, if you're going DSP, go 8/2 and run speaker level inputs or a PAC LOC into the DSP. The BT355 on 4/0 is solid and really does a great job of taming the HD curve.
I didn't do every flash available simply because of time. I did the popular choices that seem to get the most questions.
To my knowledge, HD dealers can only do the following without a BOOM system installed
2/0 and 4/0
8/2 and the other flashes have to be done with the Techno Research tool.
Enjoy!!

This is great info. Congrats on the new toys/test equipment.
On the 8/2 flash is it speaker level into the DM RTA?
Is reference 8 missing or just mislabeled? Looks like the 4 in the description should be 2? Maybe I'm missing something.
The branded flashes look really similar. Did you do any subjective listening, or not enough time?
