Default Sony 7000 issue w/ flash drive

Been a while guys
I just bought and installed the Sony 7000 on my '15 S/G and I'm having an issue with the sound cutting out WITH the bike running ( idling ) and listening to the flash drive. It doesn't have the problem w/ the tuner when it's running. It also doesn't have an issue with the flash drive ( or tuner ) if the bike isn't running. I don't have an extension cable yet and just have the flash drive ( which is the same one I've used for a couple years now ) plugged into the short cable on the back of the radio.
Anybody else experiencing this issue?

Thank you
Greg

Do you have a different flash drive you could plug in? That might isolate if its a flash drive or a cable problem..

There is some vibration in the fairing at idle, and that may affect your flash drive connection.

I have the Sony 5000 and it came with the USB cables,,, you may wanna try a new cable and or making sure the USB isn't loose in the back of the HU if its only cutting out while running vibration etc...

Thanks for the input.
Here's a little more information. I don't have the front of the fairing on yet and can hold the flash drive plugged into the short cable and isolate that part from the vibration and it doesn't stop the cutting out issue, Also, with the bike not running I have jiggled and moved that flash drive and cable trying to re-create the issue with no luck. So I feel i can safely rule that part out. What I can't isolate is the radio and it's internals from vibrating when the bike is running and think that it's an unusual case of something not right with the flash drive source of the radio.
Also, the power to the radio does not cut out when this happens, just the sound getting interrupted.

Aftermarket amp? If so, did you adjust the gains with the bike off or running? If you did it while it was off, once you start the bike the voltage rises & the amp starts clipping.

I am running a Biketronics BT2250 which was set up from them to run with my stock 4.3 head unit and their line levelers. ( I should have mentioned this but didn't want to overload w/ info! )
I have also concluded the same thing you are talking about. With the bike running I am pumping more voltage into the amp and with the higher voltage output of the Sony 7000 i am overloading the amp ( with no gain adjustments ) that was set up from Biketronics to run with the stock Harley 4.3 radio and their line levelers. I still have to talk to Biketronics to see if I should send the amp back to have them re-calibrate the inputs to accept the new voltage of the 7000.
I can tell you that it sound really good as it sits right now and looking forward to the weather breaking to get it out for a road test.
Thank you and I will post an updated when i hear from Biketronics.

As per Sony's instructions, I have the flash drive plugged into USB2 and the phone plugged into USB1
Is there an advantage to using the USB! input for the flash drive?

Thank you

BT told me to hook the amp direct to the Sony with standard RCA cables and not to use the line leveler, I talked to them because I was concerned about the head unit output to the amp.. I have the 7000 and a BT amp with no issues.
