looking to swap out boom 2 for fockford fosgate i currently have a 2015 ultra limited 4 speaker set fairings and tour pack
option 1 is swap for RF 4 speaker kit with amp quoted $1330
option 2 is swap for RF 4 speaker kit with amp and add on 2 more tms65 with lower pods $1890
do not want speakers in bags
will the lower pod speaker add to the sound going down the road or will you not notice the difference
also the amp is a 4 channel they said i only need the one amp and all 6 speakers with hook to it is this true ?
does anyone have this set up or any advice are the extra speakers worth the $560 difference
You could get the stinger 700 amp and 4 mmats 601cx speakers with line levelers wiring harness and possible adapters for them to fit in the tour pack pods for around a grand all in. Sound is MUCH better and louder.
Another set of mmats would only be around 200 bucks......

Have you decided that those are the only options you want to go with? I'm Im guessing having someone else install? If so there's nothing wrong with that but for that price I think there are better options. A 6 speaker stereo will typically always have more sound than a 4.
but im not very into the whole bike audio thing so if someone has a list of what they used i would be interested
i am very handy and can install my own equipment
just need to know what works with what and im using the stock head unit do not want to change that
The list I suggested has been very good and is a great system. Easy to tune and get sounding awesome. You'll have no trouble hearing your music at any speed and will be very happy plus will have saved a few bucks.
The OP looks to have a budget of at least $1900. Surely y'all can suggest something other than Mmat 601cx and a Stinger amp.
No not really. I made a suggestion based on my own very limited experience in bike audio, AND based on the fact that the suggestion I made is better and cheaper.. It was my suggestion and opinion. You and the other way more experienced guys can provide your own suggestions. That's what everyone is here for., right?

Agreed. Mmats are better than the Rockford in my opinion and on par w style of setup he was looking at. I asked op if that's what he wanted or a more pro audio approach.
