Default Fairing only system.

I am finally looking to upgrade my stock 2007 fairing stereo. Flhx. Best bang for the buck. Like quality. Budget up to $1500. Thanks.

You can do this under $1500 and have a very loud and clean sounding fairing setup.

Kenwood KMR-D772BT $150-200
2- Beyma 6p200nd 8ohm $450+/-
or
2 Beyma 6g40nd 8ohm $340+/-
or
2- faital rs140 8ohm 290+/-
2 horns- prv $90, DD $160, gz $200
soundigital 800.4 4ohm $450+/-
Dayton dsp 150$

Wouldn't 8 ohm be too high. Would really need a powerful amp to drive them to loud volume? Not sure

No, you'd run them parallel and bridged across 2 channels on the 800.4 getting 200w ea, then a horn on each of the other 2 channels. I use the faitals on that exact amp and they're very loud with punchy bass

I would get the Beyma 6P200ND 4 ohm and JL Audio XD 600/6. Run it bridged to each Beyma and two channels left over for the horns. I'd get the Ground Zero GZCT-500IV-B to pair them with. That puts you at $1,000-1,100 spent and get what deck and DSP your prefer with the rest.

Is a dsp necessary? Can't just use head unit that I purchase? Where do you mount the horns. Thanks.

You're definitely going to want a DSP to dial everything in. The horns will fit to the side of deck in the gauge holes.

It's makes such a big difference with pro audio setups that I say yes. I've got my horns mounted in the mirror holes of the fairing and another set below the bars
