Honestly wasting money. Pull it all out and start over with some quality aftermarket speakers and amp/s.

Agree here, Boom is not worth the time, effort, and definitely not the money.

Harmon Kardon made some great home audio back in the day. Unfortunately the HD boom audio just doesn't compare.
Darn near anything else is better than the boom audio.
Lots of great amp and speaker choices out there.
Sort yourself out a bit of a budget and get ready for the ride. Once you've made that decision to pull that boom audio junk out there is no looking back.

There are lots of adapters out there to go from the HD 5x7 to 6x9s. I like the American Hardbag stuff. It’s generally easy to work with and a good fit.

I’m contemplating pulling my lids with Unity 6x9s and Hertz ST25 tweeters in them off if you are interested. I also have a set of Hertz MPK 165 components with tweeters in the grills and a couple of Diamond Audio amps (Micro84u 4 channel 660W and an HXM800.4 800W) on my shelf. If you are interested I’ll make you a great deal.

Im guessing when you refer to up here, you are referring to Canada. I'm up here in Edmonton, Alberta. Where are you at?
