Default Soundstream PN4.1000D

Hello I was hoping for some help. First of all I have been running a Soundstream PN4.1000D amp in my 2012 streetglide with two infinity 6.2IX speakers in the fairing and two more in the lowers. Well this spring when I would turn up the volume the music would cut out until I turned the volume back down then the music would be heard. I turned down the rear gain until it would stop cutting out...about 9 o'clock. Only the rear gain seemed to cause it to cut out the front could run at 12 o'clock at any volume. I set both gains to 9 o'clock however and now it seems that my stereo is not loud enough at highway speeds. So I'm wondering if my amp is bad and if I should buy a new one. Another thing I wondered is if I ran all four speakers off the front outputs and bridged the amp. I'm not completely sure what "bridge" means or how to hook it up so I have 500 watts output from the front outputs.

Thank you very much for any help,
-Bryan

I dont know about your first question. The only way to run them off of the front is in Series, Kappas are 2 ohm

BrysZ you could try reversing the speaker wires (plugging the lowers into where the fairing speakers used to connect and the other way around) to see if the cutting out problem stays on the channel with the lowers or moves to the channel the fairing speakers are on. If the problem stays with the lower speakers (you could plug and un plug the RCA input jacks to test) then it may indicate a wiring problem or a speaker in your lowers going bad.
