and piecing together a system but the price on the Stinger went up over $300 for the AMP on Amazon this wk and with still needing rear speakers and a wiring kit, plus the extra work/costs of customizing a wiring harness, the RF system makes the most sense to me. Not looking for the best sounding system in the world, just one that is better than stock is manageable to install for a non-audiofile.
I have experience w/installing it in my old 2015 SGS and with the Mmats, the front should be plenty capable. Will likely just sell one set of 6.5" speakers from the RF kit or both and may get the Kicker 6.5" Coaxials for the rear before install or after since the rear speakers are so easily swapped.
Here's a link to my 2018 LTD Build Thread in case anyone wants to see the bike, where it came form and where it is now. May check back for some suggestions on AMP settings vs what RF suggests with the Mmats and possibly the Kickers if anyone thinks that may be helpful. Bike will be flashed by local RF audio shop.
Special thanks to Adenton528 for help and understanding of options.
If it were me I would try those rf speakers in the TP and run them for a while to get them broke in. They are water proof and drop in without needing any modification.

Thats along the lines of what I am thinking too. Not sure the Kickers are water treated or not. They have good feedback on the forum but the RF speakers are made for this and if something goes wrong, I'll have two sets to work with.
Thought long about going w/Stinger SPX700X4 and piecing together a system but the price on the Stinger went up over $300 for the AMP on Amazon this wk
This happened a couple of weeks ago. It popped to over $300 and I expressed my shock in this forum. Coincidentally (I really don't think there was any connection), it went back down in price the very next day, to under $200. There's something screwy with the Stinger's price that I'm sure is directly related to supply and demand. If you wait a week, my guess it will come back under $200 again. It's sort of like buying the Harbor Freight bike lift. You can buy it at $499 or you can wait until it goes "on sale" for $299. It will happen, it's just a matter of when.
I'm planning an audio upgrade, so I'm watching the Stinger pricing closely. The fact that it popped up again is weird. At over $300 you're in the price category (but not the power ) as an SD800.4,a Massive TX48 and other good higher powered options.
Thanks for sharing the link to your other build. I'm always interested in reading about builds!

No problem on the build link. I was trying a few different eBay sellers who offered "make offer" selections and finally got one for the RF system. If that hadn't gone through, was probably gonna wait and piece system together w/Stinger. Might have saved a few $ that way but I'll be able to get it installed sooner and do it myself easier this way.
Mmats arrived today. RF system due next week. Weather going to be rainy here most of next week so I'll probably start the teardown and get the Mmats installed, take a video of sound stock, w/Mmats and then another video post-RF AMP install, after flash is complete.
RF AMP, MMATS and rear RF speakers installed. I have 4 codes, b1338-b1342-b1346-b1350 showing under the Radio Diagnostic section. I assume this is because I haven't had the bike re-flashed yet?
I have an appointment on Sat morning locally to have it done at aftermarket stereo shop on RFs vendor list.
I hear all four speakers (lowest volume) so I know they're getting sound.
The RF grills are so much nicer than OEM HD grills.
Looks good. I also used the rf grills in my setup for the fairing, lowers and lids since I have the rf lid kit in my bike. Although I dont have anything rf in my setup I do like the grills as they all match. My setup right now is all hertz Speakers except the cheap prv 10s in the bags and 3 amps for an up coming event based on same manufacturer setups.
