You're probably right. I just can't help think Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" would sound weird if you don't hear the guitar that sounds like a car race from the left to right. Or Ozzy, on Crazy Train, going "Aye Aye Aye" back and forth from left speaker to right speaker.

I am a fan of listening to music as it was recorded. In stereo. To me listening to mono leaves me wanting more. If I have to sacrifice stereo to obtain volume then I will just do without the volume. Then again that’s just me.
