So the Sony AX7000 came in today. I hooked it up and ran the standard tests to confirm my original theory. Everything worked. Installed the EvoX 1200.4 and set the gains with voltage. Wired the horns to the 250.2. Got the DSR set back up with a 5v preset. Wow, it sounds amazing. So much better than it was before. I guess that happens when you give good speakers a lot of clean wattage. I did turn the mmats down to -3db on the dsr.
Here is the issue. The DSR lost its home on the tray, and the HU is longer than the 5000, so it can't fit under the tray. It is literally ziptied to a hole in the tray and hanging. It's firm, but still just in the middle of the bulk of wires. I have Beymas on the way, and I am dreading taking the lid off again.
Any ideas where or how to mount. If I can get the dsr stuffed away somewhere, the wire will tuck away nicely. The 250.2 is in the cubby, so thats out. The fused distribution block is on the clutch side biketronics bracket, so thats why the dsr can't go there or the cubby. Im open to ideas. The 1200 is mou Ted horizontal across the JM tray.
Yeah, Fat Heads worked with Sony and they figured out there was no wiring or internal setting that could turn the rca's off. Plugged the new one up to power and everything worked. It was a little tougher to program the thumb controls but I got it. Now it's a 20 pounds of writing in a 10 pound bag.
I put the Pos & Neg fused distribution blocks on the brake side of the BT speaker brackets & mounted my DD DSP on the clutch side BT speaker bracket - SD 250.2 in CB cubbyhole

I received my Sony AX700 today and will be wiring it up along with stinger amp and new fairing speakers and a dsr1 (for future upgrades).
I was planning on setting the dsr1 on top of the stinger amp but now I'm wondering if there isn't enough room since you're trying to find a place to put it.
Maybe I'll use the cb cubby for now and know I'll have to relocate once I get an amp to power the rears - sounds like SD 250.2 in CB cubbyhole is just the ticket for that.
