Default Electra glide speaker switch question.

Can I remove the speaker switch in the dash and move the wiring around so I can have music play through the speakers and the headphones at the same time? Wife rides with a 3/4 helmet and she cant hear the speakers that well so she likes it playing through her helmet headset. I'm exactly opposite. I wear a 1/2 helmet and I prefer the sound through the speakers not headphones right against my ears. But we still want the intercom to work.

I wouldn't see why not. May be troublesome with volume adjustments either in the ear or speakers but should be able to do it.

I suspect it may be a little problematic based on the way it functions. When the switch is flipped it changes the output from the speaker wires coming out of the head unit to the wires coming out of the plugs the headsets go into. The same volume controls still adjust the volume. I don't know how you could tell the head unit to have a signal on both sets of wires at the same time.

You could email Iron Cross Audio and see if they can give you any info.

You were correct in your response. I emailed Iron Cross and this is the reply
"There is no audio at the speaker switch. The radio would have to be modified so the switching circuit at the DSP can maintain speaker and headset audio at the same time"
