Unable to flash BOOM GTS after Rockford Fosgate install
Had the Rockford Fosgate HD-Tk14 with bag lid speakers kit installed today. Go to pick up the bike and the guy tells me he was unable to flash the GTS unit. Told me it was locked out and that i needed to go to the dealer and have the latest version installed. So i did. Come back and he still cant flash the GTS unit. Now he says that it may be a bad head unit and to go through Harley to get a new unit under warranty. I paid top dollar to have this thing installed. What i have now sounds absolutely horrible. Its completely unusable. Im running the latest software from Harley. Does anyone have any suggestions for what my next move should be ?

It very well maybe the guy needs to update his techno programmer. If you are dead set on the gts then try another Indy shop to flash it. Is your bike a 2020? I would ask another shop if they can flash it. Thats the only thing I can suggest unless you get a line leveler and put it in play. Good luck brother.

I have heard of the line level. So thats definetly an option. Also the Dsr1 from Rockford is an option. But its another 500 bucks. But wont require a flash. But i think first im gonna do exactly what you said and try to get a flash from a different Rockford Fosgate audio dealer. If that doesnt work then i guess my options are
1. Try to get Harley to give me a new Boom GTS unit and hope thats actually what the problem is
2. buy the DSR1 from Rockford and have that installed.
3. Line leveler route.
Nit sure about in your area but locally there are a few harley dealers that sell the Rockford kits and can flash the stereo for Rockford. Might be something to look into.
I had one give me a hard time, (2020), i had to reset the HU to factory default, the flash it and re-install all the previous statipn presets an stuff.

Where did you find this update? I still see 21.20.22 on the software update page.
For some reason its not on the main site yet. You have to go into the harley service portal enter you VIN. Then follow the infotainment updates link to the right in the vehicle information window. From there you will be taken to a list of the updates and the dates they came out. All in ZIP format. The MY21.20.28 has a 7/30/20 date next to it and no other information. Id imagine the update will be on the main site shortly
