Just curious
My system had been acting funny
One day the Amp will setup to 22 volts Ac or about 125Watts no clipping no issues
Check it a few days later.( DD-1.)
amps clipping at like 16 Volts.
All this through out the tuning process.
I called stinger and they are going to warranty it.
Im going to throw another amp in and send this thing off.
Honestly, I may just get my ARC repaired and sell the replacement Stinger when it comes in.
Frustrated over this new amp. have read of a few others having issues and getting replacements.
Just wonder if they are starting to show issues in build quality?
Or after my intermittent ARC AMP issues, (Chased for 2 Years) I just have bad luck?
Maybe go to a set of ear buds and call it quits
I pulled my stinger after 4 months of use. It was having solder issues on the output pins. Amazon issued a refund and I downgraded to the boom amp. I know what I'm giving up but I'm Hoping it will give better service life.
Never had a single issue with my stinger amp in about a year of service. Keep hearing theses quality issues pop up. Wonder if stinger has lost a bit of quality control in lieu supply and demand issues as a result of covid.
It sounds like the Stinger was a good deal at around $200, but as prices creep up I don't think it is that great of a deal, not bad, but not great. I bought a used Arc 600.4 a couple of years ago and have hammered the daylights out of it with no issues. I like that it has 150 watts per channel on tap as opposed to just 100.
Mak did you have the 600.4 from Arc? If so it might be worth sending it to them for repair.

prices shouldn't reflect diminishing quality. The reason for this post is stinger quality issues. Still, if quality remains good even at 300 bucks its a very good amp. Not many amps at that price point could compete.

Yes it has an intermitten channel drop out issue. Won't do it until bike is on the road. I have double checked all connection and shrink wrapped the RCA fir good measure. It's only $150 to get it rebuilt. I'm sure that's what I'm gonna do.
Kenwood bt 380. Mech less .I think that's the model
Nice deck with 4 volt outputs and decent EQ. And HPF front and rear
Marine rated as well
Matches my silver gauges decent

Does all of your sources (usb, BT, aux) have individual level inputs? If so and these are not set you're sending different voltages from the HU into the amp which will result in different amp output voltage.

Roger that the deck has a leveling option for different sources.
Ironically the Bluetooth is a lot lower the the USB. But i can match it to the USB with the deck adjusted for that input
All levels set with -5 1000 Kz tone. all my music on the usb and my phone are MP3 gain set at 92Db
i use the USB most of the time
I also have an RF amp for my 6x9 and its setting up fine level wise
