Quick questions from a novice.
I have a mono amp (db Expert EX2K)pushing my DD WO 8s. What should my amp settings be on? HPF or LPF
The amp is connected to the Sony XAV-AX 100 single sub RCA.
On the HU the crossover low pass filter is set on 80Hz. Is this correct?
I haven't connected my DSR1 because I'm trying to find the Sound Digital 800.4 EvoX. From my understanding all the settings will be adjusted through the DSP. Thanks, Brian
HPF will only allow freq above that number to play
LPF will only allow freq below that to play
With that being said, you want to create a "window" of frequencies that your speaker and amp combo plays well.
Example hpf at 65hz
lpf at 2500hz
Will give a freq window of 65hz to 2500hz
And those are just numbers I am assuming many 8" will play
If your using a dsp, I would not use any filters on HU or amp
Seeing as that your HU has both high pass and low pass filters, I would turn off the amp filters and tune with HU until you install dsp
