Default What speaker grill for MMAT 601cx

'10 Ultra Limited fairing mounted speakers

I'm halfway through installing my new system. I haven't tried the grills provided with my mmats, because it doesn't appear they are going to fit.

Am I wrong in this assumption?

If not, what lower profile grill can I buy to protect the speakers?

You should just use the factory grills. If it's inside the fairing leave the grill alone.

I'm the second owner and this is my first Harley, so I'm not sure if these are stock. The grills I removed have an integrated tweeter mounted in them. So if there's any alternative products that look cleaner I'd prefer that route.

I was able to use the grills that came with the MMats. Not sure what the arrangement is on the '10 Ultra, but after removing the speaker pods on the '15, I separated the grills from the rings and mounted them on the inside of the fairing, then placed the speakers (in the pods) behind them. I also put in some rubber weatherstripping in between the front portion of the speaker and the grills to try to keep things sealed.

+1 on the Hawg Wired grills, that's what I used in my 2010 UC. The picture in the link provided looks wrong but the fitment seems to be right. Here's what the ones I got look like:

Sounds like you have Boom II speaker upgrades. Might be able to recoup some cash after your installation.
which Amp did you go with?
