You are best of removing the boom setup entirely, selling it and then putting that money towards much better setup for the same price.

Mmats/diamond audio/prv make a good 6.5 speaker for the fairing.

DD Audio has an excellent 6x9 for lids.

Sound digital, stinger, diamond audio are a few good amp options.

I suggest looking at other threads that have build questions on here on what they put into their bike. If this is all too much, you may want to bring it to a local installer. Where are you located?

I am close to Orlando!
I know everyone says “just switch it all out!”
I can’t afford that nor do I want to. I love listening to music however am not trying to win any awards!
Just trying to not spend a lot of $$$$$$!!!

LOL at this one. Dude is going to keep asking till he gets the answer he wants.
There are 3 options:
1) Keep what you have and deal with it.
2) Pony up to finish the boom.
3) Change it all out.
That’s it.

What if he replaced the saddlebag amp with a B52 and added a couple Kappa speakers in the tourpack to get more sound for his wife. Not sure that would work, but just a thought and could be done for a couple hundred bucks.

Yup😃, maybe one day I might get a different answer than you three options, you never know.
But now I’m going ask a replacement speaker question! I have looked into replacing the lid speakers to RF tms57’s but could I use the Hogtunes Generation 3 FLTR replacement 5x7’s and not use the grills? Both are 100w but the RF’s are 4ohms but the Hogtunes are 2ohms like the H-D speakers.

I like your thinking!!! The reason why I keep asking, somehow this can be done for little money. Tell me about this amp and speakers?

I was asking myself if this was possible. lol

Perhaps someone else can confirm if this would work...not sure why it wouldn't, but I'm still a novice myself.

Look up the amp and speakers. While the speakers aren't that great, they are way better and way louder than the stockers. The cerwin vega amp might be overkill for those speakers though. NVX VADm2 is another option. Both are a little more than I thought though. 175 or so.

infinity kappa 62ix speakers are about 119 a pair.

I started doing some research and found this!!! https://rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/pbr400x4d/

If I get rid of the Boom! 2 amp and saddlebag speakers for the rear and go with the RF punch amp, does it matter if the speakers are 2 or 4 ohms?
