Wow, nice job! Fwiw, Advanblack says that their 8" lower pods should be done in a few months. They've been working on them for a while to improve the fitment and they say they are getting close now. I can't wait to see how a pair of the GZ 8's sound in the lowers with a little wattage and the GZ 6.5's on top. With a 1200.4 bridged, that should sound pretty sweet. Then think I'll try to move the current GZ 6.5's to the rear pods, if I can get those to fit with a spacer of some sort. Not sure there.
And on edit, x3 on Aggressive! Big thumbs up there!
Thanks. I believe they have been working on them for several years now so who knows when they will actually come out
I am curious about your opinions on the best two-speaker setup out there.
I will prob do lowers in future.
That actually makes a significant difference on what 2 fairing speakers I would recommend. 2 and 4 speakers setups can be completely different. If it's just a 2 speaker system, then I would say a set of GZ coax. If you're going to add lowers, then I would say some type of pro audio and horn/tweeter in fairing and match up with whatever your putting in lowers. Certain speakers are made for specific ranges.
I hope with the time they've been working on them, they fit better than their 6.5" pods!

Yep they sure have been taking their time. I've been hounding them for the last 3 years. I think to their credit, Covid pretty much wiped out last year. Agreed, the fit can be better but with a little tweaking they can look OK and do the job. For difference in price compared to others out there, they are good enough for me. Perhaps I've just been lucky. I actually just got another set, so we will see how these look.

Agreed with the fit, I had other issues as well. The paint matched pretty well, but paint quality/hardness was terrible. I no more unwrapped them, and I had chipping and peeling around the edges. SOme of the edges didnt even have much paint at all, so when they dont sit even or flush or tight against another edge, you can see the dark edges where there's not enough paint.
They sent me a replacement right side lower, but by that time....6 more weeks...Id already put the original ones on and fitted the speakers in. I didn't feel like going through the mods again....heating the pods so the speaker would fit, redrilling the mounting hole to secure the pods to the lowers since they don't line up very well, and a hole to run the speaker wires through. So I have a spare for the right side if I ever decide i need to replace it.
Wow, that's a rough experience. I just unsealed the box I just got and while I know what to expect with the fit, the black gloss looks great. Noticed a few finger prints but those buffed off quickly. I wonder if there's a bigger potential for issues with other colors? This set paint-wise looks flawless, except of course in the cubbies themselves, but who cares there.

Perhaps, but I think the paint wasn't cured properly. I know nothing about painting...auto/bikes anyway. But Im pretty sure a pain needs to cure some before its boxed up and shipped. Maybe in the rush to get products shipped mid covid crap, they hurried that process along too much.
But yes, I think which color you have might show up different issues easier. Like the black edges really show against the orange paint. Won't be as noticeable on a black lower I'm sure.
You asked for the the best fairing speakers those would be beyma or euphoria without a doubt. Very expensive but you asked for the best. These are what are winning and have won sound competitions and are flat out insane. I heard a set in person a few weeks ago and they blow away any bike speaker I have ever heard. I have heard in person the gz blk and reds Hertz neos mmats rf soundz sinister and prv. Most run of the mill speakers that everyone is running on their bikes. I personally have the gz coaxial 6.5 and they are loud but nowhere near loud n heavy like the euphoria beyma. Those are in a class of their own
beyma 6mcarbon fibers
euphoria ex6n carbons cant be touched.
Beyma will need a set of tweeters and mounts. They euphoria have a compression driver. In the end money is about the same
The beyma pro6cx and the euphoria ex6 and much cheaper and slam. Both are a coaxial. The ex6 uses a cheaper dome tweeter like most coaxial on the market.
The diamond mp654 are cheaper and will out perform and other coax on the market but run about 375 a set
Bad news w those diamonds or beyma euphoria is your cutting your pods or eliminating them. They just don't drop in like Hertz or cutting of the fins.
Call and ask the people who sell bike audio and install it professionally. Ask the top players in the game and everyone will hands down say beyma or euphoria are the best. I will be switching out my gz here in a couple of weeks the euphoria ex6n. They are just that loud and slam crystal clear.
good luck and asking on here isnt your best bet but talk to the guys who do this for a living and compete and eat **** breathe bike audio

Asking on here isnt his best bet thats an interesting comment. This forum is pretty much daily riders not competition bikers. Some compete but also ride. Best is subjective as is sound. Theres lots of different set ups that will sound good or better with proper tuning. Buying Beymas or Euphorias dont guarantee its gonna sound amazing. We on here want good sounding components while we are riding and then occasional parking lot pimp. So the best for a comp bike may not be the best for a rider and vice versus. Perfect example is my bike I have GZ yb in fairing with B3 horns its a great speaker for riding but will lack volume in a comp. So the best word needs to go away and please respect those who are on here that have tested a lot of products and have some knowledge as well as the professionals that you speak of.

So you know because you heard these speakers tuned by a professional at a sound contest somewhere. That automatically makes them the best.
Have you ever heard a set of hertz ml1800.3's in the fairing along with a set of beyma sql60 horns? Have you heard a set of faital in the fairing along with mmats horns? To come here and say that beyma or diamond is the best because you heard them is like saying a Volkswagen is the best because you rode in one but not rode in a Porsche If you have not run any of the speakers you mentioned or tuned any of them then i would argue that you dont have the credibility to suggest them based on "I heard these". This isnt facebook and you will be called out every time you or anyone else blindly states that something is the best by just hearing them.
