Amp question
Anyone use DS Hydro amps? I just went to 6 channels on my bike and DS has a 6 channel amp that will fit the fairing. When this upgrade first started a year or so ago I tried a Soundstream amp do to it's size. I was highly disappointed. Went with a Precision Power 4 channel amp that is awesome. Now that I've added 2 more channels, I want to upgrade to a 6 channel amp but don't want to be disappointed like I was with the cheap sounding Soundstream and can not find any reviews on it and no mention in here that I can find. I'm not willing to give up space in the pak or bags. Maybe someone here could tell me if I should run 4 speakers off two channels and the other 2 speakers off two channels. Maybe that's the way I should go. I figured someone here would know the info I seek. 10 EG with Infinity 6.5" speakers in fairing, tour pak and front lowers. Precision Power i1000.4 rated at 250 watts @2 ohms. I also have a RF 4 channel amp that gets hot as hell running 4 speakers but I don't think there's enough room in the fairing for both amps. Speakers are rated at 2.7 or 2.5 ohms each.

I'm somewhat in the same boat i have a 2ohm component system in the fairing (that sounds amazing) while running a jl audio 6 channel 6v2. Wanting to run four 8" marine grade infinity in the trunk and saddlebags but they are 4ohm. Heard that's a no-no, may need to swap my 6.5 2ohm in the fairing for a 4 ohm. Just don't know how much quality will be lost going from the infinity 60.11cs components to infinity marine grade 4ohm.
