I would suspect that modification would add a small amount of noise. I'd like to play with other units but I just don't have the room since I'm keeping all the Ultra functions on a pre-Rushmore ride.
If you are willing, try adjusting the input sensitivity in the PSM. A lower input sensitivity will increase the output voltage to the amps, so you would need to lower the gains accordingly, while raising the input sensitivity will have the opposite effect. I'm curious if lowering it increases floor noise or not. I know the factory HU's have quite a bit of floor noise, so raising the input sens, may lower the HU noise at the expense of increasing it with higher amp gains. It's worth a shot experimenting with it if the noise is bothersome.

Ive had this same issue with the arc as well. Might try to mess with the input sens as well.
