When did harley stop using that flash? I got it from a local harley dealership last year. I assume as long as they have the research tool, they can do it.
They haven't stopped using it. Most dealers lost the ability to give that flash.
No the MOCO stopped it a few years back when folks were breaking the code on how to run aftermarket equipment.
Oh ok. Well I will say this local dealership is a bit of a rebel. lol They do aftermarket engine builds and warranty in house and stuff like that. SO they have the techno research tool and the RF flash tool so they can do both.
SB is correct, I have the TR so I can load both........not sure why the 8/2 voltage is almost the exact same, running or ACC and the RF is much higher while running.......I like the RF but decided to stay with the 8/2 for now. I may try it again and see what happens

Nope both are not RF flashes. The 8/2 if I'm not mistaken was the same flash on the CVO. Anyway it's a Harley flash that you can no longer get from Harley. You have to get it elsewhere.
I asked this in another thread but didn't get a definitive answer. Do you know if HD dealers can do the RF flash? With HD now pushing RF equipment, are they flashing the RF flash when upgrading customers bikes to stage 1 or 2?
I checked the TechnoResearch locator and closest indy to me here in Canada is about 2 hours away. Called them and they can do it...only problem is they're slammed and can't do it till July?? Thought a flash was about a 15 minute deal?

If they're setup for the new RF stuff they can but that also doesn't mean that they will. Just depends on the dealer.

Thanks Bates! Yes...understood as "can" and "will" are 2 very different things. I get along pretty good with the service mgr at my local dealership. Maybe I'll give him a call as I don't really want to wait till July.

I think you can buy the techno research tool yourself lol. Just a thought.
But yes, Mine was done at a local dealer last year.
LOL, yes you can buy the TR tool for Audio.....but its around 900 bucks. I have the centurion pro so its included . If Lefty was close I would flash it for him
