Planning on GZ coax in fairing and lowers.
may also add a 800.4 if needed.
Planning to run speaker lids off back 2 channels, either stereo or bridged.
Haven't decided on best option on speaker lids yet but found a sale on the SD amps I want to take advantage of.
Would you order the 2 ohm or 4 ohm.
4 ohm gives me more watts for the GZ in fairing and lowers, bit 2 ohm gives me 1200 x 1 at 2 ohm for speaker lids.
Considering 8" GZ coax or Hertz mids and a horn for lids,
Any better options for lids?
How much power should a guy be planning for lids? Is 400 watts per channel enough?
looking at a coax or mid horn combo. Open to all options at this point.
Go with the 4 ohm. that will give you 300 each for the GZ's in parallel and 396 on the other two channels . I am running two sets of GZ's up front and Hertz 690's in the lids at 300

just want to make sure I have plenty of power for my speaker lids, or if I upgrade to bag speakers in the future.
300 on the GZ's is enough for me and 400 for each bag gave me enough room to do what ever. I installed the Hertz with a plan to move to something else later, but man those things sound good at 300 watts. Have had several folks comment on how clear this setup is and can hear musical instruments in songs they have never heard before.....dont get me wrong, its not a comp setup, but the SQ is really good.......several folks on here helped me a ton. These guys are really great!
I've gotten by fine with 3-400 watts in my lids. I've heard a lot of good things about the new Hertz 6x9s. If I ever get some spare cash I might give them a try. From what I have heard they are about as good as you can get in waterproof 6x9s.

I may end up with a spare set......If I do I will send them to you to pay with. I have a bike that wanted to install duel 6x9 lids and changed his mind and now only wants the single
Which amp will also depend on which speakers and what ohm speakers you go with.
But is anything really enough? lol
that's where I am at right now. I am thinking 4 ohm mids or coax give me the best options for the future.
But I am leaning towards the 2 ohm when considering lids, but the 4ohm works better for fairing and lowers
