Not sure if i need to ask this here or somewhere else. I just recently got a 2014 Tri Glide Ultra, i added the CB module but the comms were already there. Here is my issue. On the front i can do everything except i havent tested the CB yet.
The back is where the issue is. My wife can talk to me and VOX activates the comms. the Volume, selection and PTT on the back does nothing.. She can hear the music from my USB/Radio or Sirius XM. I have to control the volume for her on the h/u.
She can't hear me when i push my PTT for comms.
The Boom GT is a replacement unit that the previous owner installed. We it be possible that it may have came from a non CB/Comm bike to the rear like a Street Glide? is that the most likely scenario befor i go tearing into the wiring?
Thank you in advance.

In my experience when I added the CB module, I needed the dealer to flash the HU in order to activate it. When you do go to test, I doubt your CB will work without it being activated first.
Could be that your unit will also need a flash to activate rear controls, etc.
The bike came with CB but like i said, the Head unit was swapped out and could.ve been from a Street glide without the CB and read comms... I presume a flash might be in order.

Oh...I read in your original post that you added the CB module (bold)? Regardless, yes, I think a flash of some sort would be in order...either to activate the CB module, activate the comm for the rear....or both?
Called my dealer, talked to the Service Manager, said bring it in. Turned on the rear speaker pod switches. Everything else was fine... No charge...All is well.

Good news!! A lot of guys b*tch & moan about their dealers. I've found if you keep a good relationship with your dealer it's well worth it. My dealer's parts guy & service mgr treat me great. In fact, I was looking to get the Rockford Fosgate flash done on my radio. Called my service mgr and asked. He said he couldn't do it but directed me to a local guy here. Just got home...guy did it for $40. All is well.
I have a great relationship with all of them and it's where i bought my 07. I'm gonna get him a $25 gift card to somewhere. With the money i saved i will go back and buy a windshield 3 compartment pouch.from them this weekend.
