I am wondering if anyone else may have come across this issue. I installed this radio I purchased from FatHead Cycles back in the beginning of April and used it handful of times till the end of April when I went into the hospital for a month. I have not used the bike for the last three months as I am still recouping. However I just went out to turn bike on and check a couple of things and the radio will not power up. The only way I can get it to power up is to pull the faceplate and hit the reset button. If I turn the bike off the radio will not power back up unless I do the same procedure again. I have tried to reach FatHead twice but can't get anyone to call me back. I also have tried Sony and went thru there online chat to troubleshoot and all they had me do was to initialize the radio and turn the radio off and back on but something happened. Sony seems to think something has gone faulty with the radio. This has frustrated me for the fact that I got rid of the factory radio for this reason I just want to listen to my radio with no issues. I maybe only used it 5 times. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thank you.
Sony wouldn't let you submit a warranty claim, since they acknowledge it sounds like a faulty unit?
Or I'd still be bugging the crap out of fathead cycles. Get them on FB or any other social media. Companies really dont like when you express your frustrations in a public forum.
I also bought the same radio from Fat Head a couple years ago. It worked great for the first few months and now I have a similar problem. The volume won't work and I have to reset it. Its very frustrating since I felt that I did a good bit of research to find the right radio for my 2009 Ultra Glide. I would love to hear what other use or even how they have trouble shot this issue. I'm ready to put the factory radio back in.
