Gzcf 6.5 spl
This is also another set attached wiring coming out of the harness that attaches to the HU but is part of the harness that seems to go nowhere.
So i put back the 7.1 in fairing hooked it up to the SD 800.4
Put Kickers in the rear and hooked those up to to the SD 800.4
Now keep in mind i have 1 SD for up front and 1 SD for the rears.
turn the HU up and no cutting out of speakers at all.
the settings in the DSR were all put to flat before with GZ speakers and also with Kickers and 7.1
now i do have an extra input harness that came with the DSR but was told i didn't need to use it because of the harness they had me buy that plugs into the HU.
I've attached pics to help get a better idea
This is the extra plug that i was told not to use

I really believe its the speakers.
Ok...problem solved
Dropped off all 4 GZ speakers late yesterday to have them tested and the speakers are junk.
May have been caused by the settings in the DSP and the tweeters are shot. Don't believe it was because of settings..i did have them set, but what do i know.
At least i know it not the amps..i kinda knew that from the beginning because other speakers worked with them. Now to see if they will warranty them.
still on the fence whether i like the SD compared to the BT4180.
i think it would be less work for me.
if any one is looking to trade I'd might be inclined to do so.
I also was not aware that the SD amps don't have a fan in them like my 4180..i already installed 1 of them in my tour pak..am i asking for problems with it mounted in there.
i did it because i saw some installed in there.
I reached out to the retailer. I was told i can return them but will be shipping at my cost plus a restocking fee, so basically gonna lose about another $120 and still won't have 2 amps.

. Having the same issue with a DB drive Euphoria EX 4. Thought it was the amp so I sent it back earlier this year and they sent me a replacement - same problem. Never thought about the speakers.Given the hassle involved with returning the GZ's I'm inclined to try "cutting the coil" to see if it resolves the issue, but I'm not exactly sure what coil we're talking about. I have them hooked up through a DSR1 with the current crossover at 80HZ, equalizer flat.
Can anyone shed light on the coil cutting operation?

I cut the black looking cylinder like off.
and put them back on my SD amp and has seemed to solve the problem.
Let me find a pic i took and I'll repost.
After doing it thought you have to make sure to adjust the settings in the DSP as without it the speaker's dynamics have been changed

What's your voltage output to GZ's?
