My 4 GZ's I received in March are being pushed at 300w with a SD1200.4-2Ohm bridged, and they are perfectly fine, sound great, and absolutely pound.
I've watching these reports popup lately, and all I can guess is that they ran into a bad batch of components in the rush to cover the big surge in demand.
I sure hope for those affected, that they man up, and get this resolved quickly.
My vendor is handling my return (GZ's) no questions asked. 🙂

When reading the reply from Carlos, he raised the impedance of the driver to keep the amp from going into protect mode......... along with changing the coil value
Just looked at the ground zero website, and the gzcf8.0spl yellow basket 8" have the same crossover component setup as the 6.5", except no black coil. Doesn't necessarily mean anything but I thought it was interesting.
