So what you are saying is that the T/S numbers previously posted are true to your testing with the GZ YELLOW BASKET COAX.
There are no fairy's or pixie dust in this expensive audio hobby. Just some electricity ,electric motors and some wiring.
The T/S numbers the manufacturer post on most speakers will give you a very good indication of how the speaker will work in open air or in an enclosure.
Physics is physics and you proved that with the time you spent testing mounted to the bracket and in the pods.
Yes sir thats what Im saying. Your numbers were right. The GZ Yellow baskets coax sounded like they were going to let loose and come apart. Took out the brackets put the gz back in the pods where they were they are happy, loud and sounds really good.
Now I have to install my dsp that iv been putting off
NVS audio has a very good youtube channel with lots of solid advice , he seems to run everything in the stock pods only modifying them to fit . He also says a DSP is a must for good quality sound.
Some very interesting content on his channel
I can respect and appreciate the time that Carlos puts into creating his videos. He does it with no compensation, other than sales that the vids may drive. Just know, that it is just one guys opinion. I have seen many videos he does that will send people down the wrong track.
I have a set of Mmats PA601cx in the fairing pods driven by a Stinger SPX700X4 and stock HU 6.5GT and I am thinking about getting the Biketronic brackets but don't want to lose any sound quality. Has anyone tried using Boom Mat Speaker Baffles in addition to the brackets?

As far as the brackets functionality, do they maintain the same structural support as the pods?
I've had the Pods out once and that was enough. What a PITA if you want to try different speakers.
Can't comment on the baffles. Perhaps some speakers might perform better with or without them.
As far as support goes I believe they do offer at least the same level of support. I asked BT this same question and (not surprisingly) they said it actually offered more structural integrity. Perhaps that's true, all I know is the brackets are solid and well built and the fit is excellent.
There are lovers and haters of the brackets here. I love them as they do make mounting speakers a lot easier and they provide more interior space.

I have the MMATS being driven by a stinger amp and they are very bright sounding at +70 mph.using the biketronics brackets. The brackets also make for easy removal.
