Hey guys, got caught in a downpour last summer and my Biketronics Sony Ax5000 quit playing and doesnt play right now, kinda like the output changes and loses sound quality. I dont enjoy peeling the fairing off every few months, thinking of going with a GT radio, I have a RF DSR1, SD 1200 and running GZ Yellow baskets in fairing, am I really downgrading to go with the GT?
If it were me, no question I would do this new "made for HD (motorcycle)" radio...for sure not the GT. Fortunate for me, I have the GTS.
Watch the whole video...he ranks it higher than the Sony 7000...2nd to the GTS.
Honestly those new radios are almost 900 bucks. For a few hundred more, I'd still opt for the gts radio and have all the functionality and hand controls AND guaranteed water proof. Just my 2 cents.

More like twice the price and that new SS Reserve HU is also "water-proof" but still, I'm likely going to get a GTS (if I can ever find one) and sell the GT.

I dont think its water proof like the harley radios are.
Also you can pick up a used GTS for around 1200
Like I said, for me the full control functionality isnt worth giving up.
