And I've also noticed with the SD amp gains that once I've reached my target voltage and tell myself I'm done!!! and then go back for the hell of it a little later and test the channels again with my DMM probes the gains are off a bit and not where I actually had them originally set???
No, jut when I was trying to set my volts, I had to turn the loc gains all the way open. Then i basically didnt even need to turn the gains up on the amp to get the 275watts I was looking for.

Yup, thats exactly what I was seing over an over again. 44v one day.....loud as crap, go back a week later and I was showing 60v! lol
Until I turn the gains up on the loc, couldn't figure it out.

Well like I said I'm not running a LOC but it makes me wonder if I should be now? I don't like the idea of the gains moving around on their own after you have them originally set? Makes me wonder if that's one of the reasons people were having problems with their GZ's blowing up or disintegrating? besides obviously being over powered as well in some case.......

I can tell you that my gains were always consistent so it wasn't the case of overpowering with my GZ's. Be aware that you set your volts with your volume at three-quarters so you do not want to go past three quarter volume. I would have put the phone on full volume as long as there's no distortion to set the gains knowing that when you get the full your still safe. And it's always better to set your gains with the bike running or at minimum with a fully charged battery

I believe the gains would move around if you test them with the battery at different states of charge or with the motor running or off... running bike fully charged battery will give you max power. Bike off with battery at 75% charge your gains should be lower.
