I have 21 RG with GTS radio that I installed RF stage 3. Problem is I have radio code U0185C. It will not clear at all. I had radio flashed for this system before install but dont know if it was there after flash. Im guessing no. Everything seems to work. All controls on handlebar etc. its sounds loud and clear even at 80mph. This past weekend went to NYC and think I hit every pot hole and nothing cut out or stopped working. I had bought a week of HD online manual and seems this is a AMP 2 communications error. Either open or short to ground in either of these two wires (white/orange, white/black). I check for power and both had 5v reference. So I kind of gave up at that time since everything is working but knowing code is there will drive me nuts. Everything was plug and play. Could I have left something up plugged near amp/radio area. If someone could even tell me whats not supposed to work with this code might help.
I had the same code on my bike and my son-in-law had it too after we had our radios flashed for a Harley 0 amp 4 speaker flash I believe with Arc720 amps. We had them reflashed to an RF Flash and the code went away.

I guess its good news but it was supposed to be RF flash. At least thats what I told them and what I paid for. It was at a RF dealer not HD dealer. Guess theres no way to tell unless you can do it yourself.

Here's the procedure to see what flash was used. RF should be 08_OFF.bin or 08_ON.bin iirc.
I checked mine...I have the RF flash so 08 is correct...

looks like I have those 08 files but not whats loaded I tried to load one of the 08 files but ask from USB devices
As you scroll down the file that's loaded should be grayed out. It looks like you do not have the RF Flash and that's why you're getting that error. You could only see what file is loaded but you can't change it. It has to be reflashed through the data port with a Techno Research flash.
Be aware if you get it reflashed you will have to readjust the gains.
I would bring it back to the guy who did it and have it reflashed and he shouldn't charge you

I called the place I had it flashed. They are supposed to be a RF dealer. Explained the situation and was willing to check. But doubted it not being flashed because the system when done tells him and wont go any further. I then told him about the file name not being correct and he said his system doesnt show him file names just that its been correctly done. Basically said he didnt know what file names supposed to be.

He didn't do it properly. The 08 file is the RF Flash. What was the number of the bin file that was highlighted in Gray when you checked your system?
128 is not the RF Flash. I believe it's a Harley Flash. The error code you're getting does not affect anything. It's Basically not seeing the antenna but it is there. You could either ignore it or have it reflashed to the rf Flash and after they do it go in and check to make sure it's the 08 file that's highlighted. I guarantee the fault code will be gone
