I would avoid that wire kit as it only has 3 ft of ground wire and not enough to go from the fairing to the battery. I would use this wiring kit. It is a bit more $$ but enough wire to go to the battery.
you are awesome. ty !! and i dont have to be concerned about blowing my speakers with that amp ??
Well yeah you should ALWAYS be concerned about providing proper safe power to any speaker.
One you get everything installed, you'll need to set your gains properly. If you keep those hogtune speakers, im not familiar with the specs....perhaps someone else could comment on RMS and such. But either way, follow the setting gains sticky at the top of this forum to set your gains to the desired voltage.
Looks like they're rated at 125RMS. I'd maybe start at 100 watts to be safe.......again someone can comment on this.....they might take more...you might not need more....but on bikes, the rule of thumb is...speakers need at least 100 watts or more to be heard well enough at most any speed.

The other thing you should be thinking about is putting speakers in the saddlebag lids, as just the 2 speakers in the fairing are never going to be loud enough for your passenger to hear everything clearly. Of course that means a 4-channel amp, but your head unit needs to be flashed anyway, and it can be flashed for up to 8 speakers.........
I recently added a Hogtunes Rev 225 Amp & Speaker kit to my 2016 SGS and i'm extremely pleased with the sound for the price. The install was pretty straight forward and Hog Tunes even provided an install video on their website. I acknowledge that there are louder systems out there but you will not find a better sounding, easier to install amp and speaker kit for the price. It was completely plug and play and no flash was required. It is much louder than the factory speaker setup and has much better sound. If you already have the Hogtunes speakers, then get you the 225 Amp and youll be good to go.
From what i've read and seen, CCA (copper clad aluminum) wire shouldnt be used to wire an amp because it cant flow as much power. you want OFC (oxygen free copper) wire.
