Bike is 2019 SGS, stock head unit, RF flash. Have a Cicada DSP150.4D amp and Cicada CH65.4 speakers. Amp is wired to bi-amp speakers. Only been in since first week of April.
Riding this morning, left speaker goes almost completely dead for about 30 seconds, then comes back full sound for a short time before going dead. Sounds like there is no mid coming through at all, only tweeter action. It does this now consistently. Right speaker sounds fine.
Any thoughts about what could cause this? Loose wire?
Could be I guess. I had a similar issue with my amp and speakers...not cicada. Finally pin pointed it to a fuse that didn't look blown, but was only carrying a very small amount of power through.
Yeah like I said....My 6.5 fairing speakers would cut out intermittently....seemed like a loose wire to me as well.
Friend of mine walked me through checking ohms and various spots. I have a distribution block...we had good voltage going into the dist block....but not coming out....so that said the fuse wasnt good, even though it looked fine.
So I'd check your fuses as well.

If it all looks good what is the point of returning the speaker?
Try swapping the outputs at the amp, that will tell you if its the speaker or not, if still out on left swap the input at the amp.

I meant they would send me a new speaker, if all else fails, as in they appear to be willing to stand behind their product.
