SoundStream HDHU14+ Problem

SoundStream HDHU14+ Problem
2017 CVO Limited with new SoundStream HDHU14+ head unit installed with 1000 on head unit.
We went for a ride today and got about 75 miles in running Amazon music and Android Auto with Google Maps with no issues and working great.
Looked down for road curves coming and looked down 30 seconds later and our screen is blank, just white with nothing there.
Music still plays fine, thumb controls work, head unit buttons work, unit will turn off and when turned back on, music works but the screen is still white with nothing there.
Any clues or insight??

from my experience I'd say the Android Auto app bugged out on your phone....
mine often does it on the return journey from someplace (exceptional warm days or seriously bumpy roads causing to many disconnects).
Turning the phone off and on (not a restart) resolves mine (no manner of Soundstream button pressing does anything)
also make sure you have the latest AA on the phone (delete and replace from the Play Store)

A few more details.
I bought this head unit from Volunteer Audio 4/1/2022. It was shipped to me 4/11/2022. I finally got it installed around 9/15/2022.
Spoke with SoundStream this morning. If you self install these, they only warranty for 90 days from date of purchase. Basically their tech department gave me a big middle finger on any warranty and if I want it repaired it would cost me plus shipping.
Called Volunteer Audio. Super customer service. They have had other issues but a white screen has not been one of them. They told me to pull the head unit, ship it to them (they emailed me a shipping label already) and as soon as they receive it, they will send me a new head unit. They said the warranty is two (2) years from date of purchase and they will deal with SoundStream directly.
Volunteer Audio was super nice and easy to deal with.
I was having some issues with Android Auto and blue tooth music when I first installed it. A brand new Motorola phone from Verizon solved all the issues I was having. When we got home the first thing I did was hook my phone to my pickup and Android Auto worked as it should.

soundstream reserve
i have a soundstream reserve for my 2020 electra glide and the screen is flickering on one side .Is it a loose connection or is it a warranty issue ? Already sent an email any input would be appreciated.
