Default wiring SD amp with high level inputs

any one do this? i know all about the eq curves and flatness but has anyone actually just wired the damn thing into the stock bike using the speaker level inputs and see what it does?

Why wouldn't you do it? LoCs are for when the amp does not take speaker/high level inputs. Simplified wiring, less components in the signal path, eliminates RCA cables...it's a win all around.

Just don't use wire connection taps as they are notoriously unreliable. The kind of connectors that slice through the insulation of the wire to provide contact with the conductor of the other wire. Use a junction board or solder instead. Taps cause extra problems on a motorcycle that has to deal with vibration and exterior weather conditions.

If your amp is designed to take high level inputs, you can sure wire with no LOC. Be sure to have the head unit flashed properly.

what about throwing codes with the GTS radio? is a resistor needed? what and where does it go?

I'm guessing it's a 47Ohm, 5watt resistor for the positive and negative cables. There would also be a passive splitter of some description or they just solder the wires together as those H-D connectors are only twin core by the looks of it not the rear four core sends.
