boat amplifier
Sorry for asking about a boat system but you guys have so much knowledge and are always very helpful. We purchased a different boat and are looking to upgrade the audio with somewhat of a budget system. These are the components i am thinking about using.

set up as 2 zones, inside the boat as 1 and tower as another. So 4 100 watt RMS in the boat and 2 125 watt RMS on the tower.
I have a stinger 700/4 amp already or i see there is a sd1200/4 in the classifieds. Could i wire the 4 6,5's in parallel to channels 1 and 2, and the 2 125 watt 8's to channels 3-4 or do i need a 6 channel amp? Maybe i would need more power?
I'm open to changing speakers or whatever if you have any other suggestions.

I don't know anything about the ds18 speakers so I can't comment on those, but the stinger amp is solid.
I would by another stinger spx700x4 ($270) on amaz.
Run the 4 6.5's off one amp and the tower speakers to the other stinger bridged one on 1&2, one on 3&4 at around 200 to 225 watts to start.
Also, I would look at the wetsounds headunit ws-mc2, or the stinger marine headunit, they are more expensive but better units with more control/eq.
