Anyone seen the email about map update at 10% off?
I am traveling and not at laptop, what does the update cost anyway? I want to say a $150.00 or something ludicrous.
It seems to be commented the price is too
much as well as some have said its still out of date that I understand. As good as google and apple are, I sometimes run into roads not updated. Petty issue to cry about.
Back to post, seen it? The offer. And until tomorrow, anyone know the actual cost on HD toolbox app to download. I do use the map as is on mine occasionally. Mainly heading home to see mileage and arrival time. Do i follow it to a T? Not always ha ha.
TIA
I understand the wish to have your bike updated but unless theyve uped their game the newest maps are 2 years old which in a busy growing region like Raleigh isnt good enough. After the android auto update some years ago spending 150 for old maps is silly imo. Google maps is excellent and real time.

Didnt read anything about them being 2 years old? I am sure they would be the latest maps within 6 months?
FWIW I dont attach much to the hen talk on forums from that one poster whos sisters husbands cousins that know a salesman at the dealership who knows the MOCO is deliberately screwing everyone by pushing 2 year old updates.
I am open to anyones take that has actually installed this and their satisfaction. As I say, GPS in all forms is occasionally hit and miss.

I can't tell you where we learned it, but it is widely known and accepted that maps are ALL 2 years old. It just takes that long to update the map database and distribute it. My 2014 is using 2012 maps. Someone looked and confirmed; it's not a forum tale.
