Default 2008 ultra classic audio upgrade question.

I know that I have posted up a couple question in here over the last couple months. But I am really hesitant to start purchasing just yet. Needed to get my cams done first.

I am looking for a great sounding system, clear/crisp sound, but not a "Show system" One that I can hear very clear at any speeds and any type of music. I don't need bass to shake the bike apart, but love a little bass. One that I will love for years to come. I had Biketronics system on my '04 electra glide classic. It was ok. But nothing to write home about.
So here goes my question.

What head unit, either Rockford Fosgate or Aquatic?
What amp? (must fit in front fairing and not tax charging system too bad))
What speaker in fairing (Mmats or Ground Zero yellow baskets)
What speakers in the tour pack? (leaning towards Hertz)

I have about 2 grand to spend on the ENTIRE system.
Let me know what you all think, this will be the last time I ask this. It is time to pull the trigger and just go for it. !!!!!

Thank you all and sorry for asking this again. Just want to be sure I get the most out of the money I have.

OK...here is my set up:

GZ Yellow baskets in the fairing - getting 150w crossed @ 60hz - 24db/Octave

Polk Audio MM652 in the tourpak same specs as above..

Power coming from a 1200.4 Soundigital - all adjustments made via HU - Kenwood kmr-m332bt.

This stereo will keep you below budget...click the link below to hear it.

If you listen to FM, cannot go Soundigital. Stinger won't lose the FM. Bridge it to the GZ's and try to be around 150-170 watts

If you are just getting a parts list together for your audio upgrade and would like to listen to a variety of different audio systems there is a Meet and Greet coming up June 23rd thru the 25th in the Manitowoc area. Come by and listen to the upgrade others have done.

Are your GZ the neo or iron?
also did you have the Polk installed straight into the pods or modifications required?
Thanks!

No Ferrite (mine is not a Rushmore fairing). Polks drop in once you hone out the cutout with a dremel.

I have since put the GZ's down below (200watts) and put a set of Cervin Vega Components in the fairing.

👍
I’m going to put Rockford T400X4ad + GZ yellow baskets into fairing.
