You'll still need the $200+ module for complete integration.
I guess that you've never purchased a new car or appliance or bike or even....
Every year a new car has newer technology as do appliances. Shoot, have you seen the home audio/video market or hear of CES?
I get it, just didn’t post clear enough, always better features as newer models come out. Prior year top line features rolled into lower price units following year. I’ve been to Vegas for work sema and ces.
Key word integrated bluetooth, no longer need additional module plugged into usb. Pretty sure all these newer current units are first to have wireless bluetooth built in for harley specific head units.
Don't care, bottom line for me the new sound stream coming out looks kick a$$.
I just procrastinated last summer and glad I did because all features on new sound stream fit my needs.
A riding buddy has this and it's pretty bad ***. It has tons of features and looks super clean.
Soundstream also makes one for the pre-14 models that is interesting but it's $1,000.
I had a hard time justifying going from the GTS to the Si, but I'm a sucker for the latest and greatest. The V2, there's an even thinner distinction between the previous and next gen, so this time I think I can resist the urge.

can I ask what made you switch from GTS to Si?
totally agree, nothing in the v2 that my Si does not do that I need
And the optimist in me thinks "have they solved the tuner issue yet then?" ...although technically thats Maestros issue I guess (although isn't the module built into the V2?)
Was just checking out Volunteer Audio webpage and they have 3 kits to preorder V2, amp, speakers, pre-wired for my street glide.
See how it goes and first pre-order customers validate there are no huge bugs hidden in the head units.
Do some handle bars too while fairing is apart and that will be my money spent for the year.
Interested to see if Maestro was better integrated on V2.

when I had the original SS in my 2016 SGS, the sound quality from the GTS to the SS is reason enough for me...

Module is not built in, just like the others it is still needed for switchpack usage.
No real reason to swap out the GTS, right before it came out, the difference between what people were paying for the GTS and what the cost of the Si was only a few hundred bucks so I thought 'why not'. and I can't leave well enough alone.
